Enhanced Fibre Basecoat
TQ Rend Enhanced Fibre Basecoat is a British Board of Agreement (BBA) approved, cement-based, ultra-highly polymer modified, fibre-reinforced basecoat formulated for superior strength, durability, and substrate performance.
The advanced fibre reinforcement provides excellent tensile strength and enhanced resistance to cracking, ensuring a stable and long-lasting base for subsequent finishes.
The product requires only the addition of clean water and approximately five minutes of mixing to achieve the desired consistency. It is designed for application as a single coat backing layer for TQ Rend topcoat finishes and can be applied manually or by spray, offering flexibility and ease of use across various site conditions.
APPLICATION Instructions
Enhanced Fibre Base Coat must be applied by hand or spray in a single coat as a backing for TQ Rend finishing coats. The recommended application thickness is 6–8 mm. Apply the material evenly to the substrate and trowel to a flat, uniform finish. For subsequent coats, lightly comb the surface horizontally to create a mechanical key. Allow a minimum of 24 hours drying time before overcoating. Avoid overworking during application to maintain optimum adhesion and performance.
