Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Operative based at our Edston site in Peebles. The successful candidate will be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

·Carry out daily safety, maintenance and service checks

·Mobile Plant Operations – Excavator

·Safe and Efficient Operation of the Equipment

·Work closely and follow instructions from the Quarry Manager

·Follow the Quarry Development Plan

·Meet site Productivity Targets

·Integrate with and work as part of a small team

·Carry out additional Quarry Duties as required

It is essential the successful candidate:

·Strong Communicator

·Previous Hard Rock Quarry/Mineral Extraction Experience

·Geotechnical Awareness/Training in a Hard Rock environment

·Valid Mobile Plant Qualifications and Proof of Competency (MPQC preferred but not essential)

·Willing to undergo further Training
