Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry.  We operate in over 31 sites throughout Central Scotland, the North East of England and East Anglia.

Due to our continued success and rapid growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Transport Co-ordinator/Assistant based at Northfield Quarry, supporting deliveries and stock management across Scotland.  The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring customers receive the highest level of service whilst ensuring optimum fleet utilisation;
  • Manage incoming order requests, ensuring efficient use of drivers and stocks;
  • Address any operational issues, ensuring clear communication across relevant departments;
  • Monitor and manage internal stock supplies;
  • Support the transport department to co-ordinate scheduled work across the fleet;
  • Process customer orders and assist with general enquiries, maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure excellence in customer service;
  • Manage and co-ordinate external vehicle hire;
  • Liaise with customers and internal sales, commercial and accounts teams;
  • Monitor driver performance, communicating clearly with the Transport Manager.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to perform under pressure, adapt quickly and prioritise to meet deadlines efficiently;
  • Strong relationship building skills, internally and externally;
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the role;
  • A knowledge of transport regulations and compliance;
  • Experience in transport operations
